Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This place is located in a small strip mall, blink and you'll miss it. Parking was a little of an issue. I had the enchiladas, my friend had a taco combo. We both enjoyed the meals, the food was good. The service was OK. Our server was not rude, but not really thrilled to be there, is the vibe we got."
"kind staff, yummy food! my bean tostada came with more lettuce than bean, but it was still yummy"
"Food and drinks were terrific and flavorful. Only negatives were having to ask for things that should have been expected by the waitstaff (leftover boxes and a bag for those). They were also out of the drink sized to-go jars I wanted. This was a very loud, lively restaurant if you're ok with that atmosphere. I spent $60 for dinner, but was traveling and treating myself. I would have gone back for breakfast the next morning if I'd had more time!"
"This was my second time coming to this Mazatlan location. My mom is local to the area and has tried others and swears this is the best! I had the tamarindo margarita and pollo plate and WOW. The chicken was so moist and flavorful even though the slices were thin which can be hard to do without over drying! Every detail was delicious and you can tell it was carefully thought after like the side of guacamole which was nice and sour with lime, the coleslaw fresh and crunchy and the the table chips and salsa had a great kick! The margaritas are nothing to steer away from either because they’re strong and very tasty so definitely worth your buck. I already can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town so I can take my mom out to a great traditional Mexican lunch. We are from Guerrero and really enjoyed all the delicious authentic flavors they offered."
"Simple decor, friendly service, and food was amazing. Very fresh and flavourful. The bean dip and rice were my favourite. The tacos were crunchy and delicious. The portions are huge too. we even had quesadillas packed to go. My horchata was huge as well and not watered down."
"Excellent service and food. Love the salsa served with the chips. Fresh and spicy. The ceviche bowl was so good and fresh as well. Worth the price. Mom got the number 15 combo plate."
"The staff here are consistent and friendly. This place has been our family favorite Mexican restaurant for over 25 years! Try anything with their ranchera sauce. Get the fajitas! Good prices, huge portions, free fresh hot chips/homemade salsa/bean dip with every visit."
"This is the Mexican restaurant you remember about. Meat is cooked as if by generational rancheros. Everything put together just the way you wanted and more. The decor, the friendly staff, the prices. Take your kids so they get the same memories we did growing up going to great places like this. The drink prices remind me of earlier years too. Definitely a place to go for a guaranteed good time."
